The staff at Berks was so helpful when I bought furniture pieces for my new home. They spent hours with me reviewing all options based on my space and vision. They provided me with really useful education about fabrics, colors, styles and sizes. They had a wonderful range of styles in everything from couches, rugs, tables, mattresses, decorative pieces and more. They were very reasonably priced for high quality and durable furniture. They did not try to upsell me or pressure me in to buying unnecessary items. It was a really great experience all around and I highly recommend anyone who is in the market for furniture to check them out!

Good experience start to finish. Delivery was seamless, and I really preferred receiving a text for my delivery time rather than a phone call. My husband and I had a perfect experience at Berk’s. We found exactly the two chairs we had hoped to find, had a truly sensational (I’m not exaggerating) experience with our salesperson, Dave, and then, when the chairs were delivered, the two fellows who put together were lovely, as well. I don’t think it gets better than that. But on top of that, our purchase was from a local business. Brilliant!! Berk’s showroom is huge. If you need furniture, you’ll find it there. Five stars!

GREAT quality and service too! I went to several furniture stores before visiting Berk's and was disappointed in the quality of the furniture and overwhelmed by the experience as well as pushy sales people. Vising Berk's truly was an exciting, informative and stress-free experience. I worked with Erin who gave me time to think while providing the necessary information I needed to make my decision. She researched products for me and helped me to find a beautiful bedroom set from one of their vendors when I couldn't find what I wanted in person. I would definitely recommend a visit to the store! Needed new couch and loveseat. Had a great selection to choose from. Everyone was great starting with Dawn our salesperson and the delivery/setup team were so nice and personable. We were originally told 8-10 weeks for them to come in and get delivered but we received them in only 6 weeks. Great experience and love our new living room set.

Our family has been buying from Berks since it was Hackettstown Trading Post over 25 years ago and have never been disappointed with our purchases (bedroom set, sectional, several pairs of recliners) Their service has always been excellent, too! Recently we ordered a dining set through salesman Tim Moran, who had helped us last year with a mattress purchase. Unexpected dental/medical expenses forced us to cancel the furniture order last week and Tim could not have been more understanding. After visiting five local furniture stores I had about given up. It was recommended that I try the Berks Discount Store on Main Street in Hackettstown. I found exactly what I was looking for at half the price of what other stores were charging. For a fee,they offered delivery and haul away both of which I opted for. The drivers showed up at exactly the time that they said they would, were courteous, respectful and in and out in no time. Would highly recommend and will be doing future shopping there. My experience with Berk's was smooth and without stress. The salespeople were helpful and affable, listening to my needs and took into consideration my financial limitations. I wasn't sure of what I needed, so I didn't commit to anything on the first visit. However, I did have questions and David was very quick to reply to my queries via Email (my preferred means of communication,) and before I knew it, any anxiety I had about "what I should buy," was gone and I had a new beautiful chair sitting in my home. The delivery people were prompt, worked efficiently and were on their way in a matter of minutes. I don't exactly enjoy shopping for furniture, but this experience was virtually "painless" and I would buy from this family business again.
